southampton westquay will have 1500 in over the next week 70% of them are the better ones and 30% of cores. You have to have a game card but its worth it. expect the ebay prices to DROP mega this week!! you may even get a bargian on ebay

Today I have taken ds xbox 360 backto argos and got a refund.It kept freezing,refusing to turn on,turning itself and overheating(so hot you couldn't even touch it)

They were excellent and even refunded 2 games which I bought last week (16 day exempt items)

Ds has decided to wait for version 1.1 or possibly a ps3 (anyone any idea when they are due for release?)

I am not being a profit of doom as very few people seem to have had problems,but as they say forewarned is forearmed !!!!!!!

PS3 is scheduled for European release anywhere between spring and christmas 2006 but there is a Sony press conference this month or in Feb so a date should be confirmed

Start of another week!

Game - Some stores have apparently fulfilled all pre-orders and selling consoles on their own and not part of a package (area dependant, check your local store), expected deliveries are middle / end of this week.
(Note - someone on this forum also mentioned a huge stock arrival for Game in an earlier post so this week could be a good one for all who are still looking)

Amazon - Core consoles showing as available again with 1-2 week delivery, mention of pre-orders still being fulfilled in a previous post has been common, could be worth a try?

Still no change or news that I know of for Argos, Play, Comet or PC World, just a case of wait and see now how the week progresses!?!

It won't be till later in the year. They say it'll be released in Japan this Summer, but not in Europe until November. And even then, there'll probably be similar availability problems so you'll be lucky if you get one before 2007.

Without going to far off topic on the xbox 360s - the PS3 on Sonys website is still saying spring 2006, but must admit whilst scanning the forums it appears late 2006 / early 2007 before its release is more likely.

If its any help, and for those who dont mind waiting a couple of weeks, Choices Direct state despatch of premium & core on 01/02/06.

The Choices Direct date is just a place holder. It has been there for a long time.

Currys and probably Dixons and PC World are expecting a reasonable sized allocation within the next 2-3 weeks with a 50-50 split of Cores and Premiums.

Seriously people, just check with your local Game or Toys R Us on a daily basis if you can. They're all getting fairly regular deliveries. I got mine from Game a week after Xmas and there was no requirement to buy anything except the console.

You won't get led up the garden path by internet companies promising something they can't deliver.

So might as well wait for XBOX 460 in 2008?
