i went to argos today and they didnt have any in-store, but will let you order it for home delivery, although she did say it wont come until after christmas

Argos usually send out emails at 2am or 3am saying they have received stock of the Xbox but whether they will have any, thats another question although there was talk that 5000 xbox 360's were coming into the UK today. Last shipment before Christmas unless they get somemore before then.

Are you sure they were actual consoles though, most store seem to have the boxes out but with nothing in them. Game at least have a sign up saying none in stock, you'd think the other stores would do likewise, I mean it stops them having to answer the same question 100 times a day. Not hard is it?

Yes and No - I was watching Core System prices last night on ebay and you would be right in saying that the prices of 2 weeks ago have reduced a lot but there are still some going for £330 plus - including one that went for £361 plus post. On the other hand still some not reaching that type of figure and seen a few going for around £275 plus post.
It makes for interesting watching the nearer it gets to Christmas though and I would be inclined to think that the prices will be more likely to go up the nearer it gets.
