My dad has a MSN email account which he is having problems with after getting a message that they have given his inbox a new look. I have a feeling that this is Microsoft updating their email sytems and there nothing that can be done but it sounds like my dad is having a nightmare.
I asked him to email me with the problems so this was his response...
"I'm finding it quite difficult to write emails when only able to view a part of the page, constantly having to scroll horizontally and vertically to see what I've written. Frustrating trying to read incoming emails as well for the same reason.
Not being able to print emails off is a major headache as I need hard copies for manual files. My printer is working perfectly normally with good reproduction from Word etc but when I print an email there's only the faintest ghost of an impression, completey impossible to read.
These problems have only occurred since the introduction of the restyled inbox last week"
So, as you can see he is now having trouble printing off his emails too.
Is this reversible?
Thanks

If his account is set to the full Windows Live Hotmail version he can try changing it to the older classic version view.
Click on 'Options' (top right of screen)
Down the bottom of the list to 'More Options'
Click on the 'Try the classic version'0 -
Thanks Wherryman, I'll get him to try this0

Alternatively, get him to install Windows Live Mail on the PC to replace Outlook Express and he can access Hotmail through that.0

Hi my mam is having the same problems with the scrolling on the new msn it's driving her mad!
I've tried to correct it as Wherryman suggested but can't find the 'try the classic version' in the dropdown menu.
Anyone any suggestions as to how to go back to the older version?
Thanks in advance:):hello:0 -
i think the classic and full versions have gone forever and are now replaced with this new version.
i haven't sent mail yet but i dont like the new theme0 -
My hotmail account has been given the new look today as well as my dads and I don't like it either but can't find the "Try classic version" button..............looks like we have no choice but to get used to it.
If you go to Options>More options there is a feedback button on the bottom right, maybe its worth leaving a few negative comments

Hi everyone.
I apologise for the misinformation but up until yesterday it was possible to change my account between the older classic view (my preferred choice) and the new view, it seems this option has now been removed, so it looks like we are now stuck with what we have been given!0 -
I am wondering if my dads problems veiwing his emails is because he is using a non widescreen monitor, I have advised him to use his laptop (I think he is scared of it!) instead as I'm not having any problems viewing mine though I still wish it hadn't changed.

Ive had another look at it today. Theres no available options to change back to anything, or indeed customise it either
