Right, I get my cartridges for my Brother ( all colours ) for under £2.00 each delivered, they last for ages.0

I recently bought some cartridges for the iP4500 off eBay for £1.49 each including postage...
They were a similar price for the (rubbish) Epson D120 that we returned for a refund, and for my old (now unworking) Epson C44UX. The Canon cartridges have printed more pages (and at a higher quality) than either of the Epsons.
There's a review here, if you're interested:

Thanks for the comments so far. I will have a look at the options you have given and hopefully find something suitable. Thanks again :beer:0

Don't forget that with infrequent use often the print heads dry up rendering the print head useless and also a waste of ink/purging on powering up and down...just a thought, (get a Brother laser)0

Hi,
I don't post very often but any help people can give would be appreciated.
I have been given the task of getting my Nan a printer for her new computer. She does not need anything fancy as all she will really be doing is printing from Word and maybe the internet. I don't want to spend too much as it really will not get much use. Can anyone suggest anything suitable under £50 with cheap printer catridges. I have seen some cheap All in one printers but not sure how good value they are.
Thanks in advance.
Hi I have just bought a Epson SX100 3 IN ONE thats a printer, scanner, copier for just £28.99 from ARGOS it`s brill and easy to install you just pop in a cd and its up and running very simple to use and great bargain.
They allso have more in the sale.
You can register the printer with Epson and receive News letter with Cartridge savings that are cheap and come quiet quickly or you can buy the Cartridges from Most places.
Hope this Helps.0 -
ebuyer had/(have?) a really cheap laser, so cheap that the cost of an HP toner cartridge was more than the cost of this printer. You cant really go wrong just be careful when removing paper jams and not to break the plastic (this seems to be common on most cheap printers especially lasers).
Ink especially if not used tend to dry out around the nozzle as totalsolutions mentions above and elderly often leave the heating on higher too. Ink is quite expensive and the elderly normally do not have the keenest eye for bargains or hunting around on web sites, but just want it to work.GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

From what I see, it's the under 35s (ish) that like to sit around in shorts and t-shirts with it -5 outside.
(evidence from neighbour last evening putting out wheelie bin dressed in shorts/t-shirt/flipflops)Move along, nothing to see.0 -
