Help with kitchen space

Ok just to clear some things up, the actual work top space either side of the hobs, well that wall has my bathroom behind it which then in turn has the bath on that wall.
The in built oven, that has the lounge behind it.
The wall to the left of the back door has next doors 2nd bedroom behind it. So really my only 'safe' wall in the wall that has the back door/window on it.
Thanks for all the ideas, im gonna have a play around at the weekend with re sorting cupboards out. I had a go last night, but couldn't think straight so just put it all back, i really need a weekend to have a good sort out.
Pitlanepiglet - thats the kind of thing i was looking into, for now anyway until i have more money to do proper solutions.
Also liking the idea of a cover of some sort to go over my sink.
Feel free to keep ideas coming, im not gonna complain as im really liking peoples suggestions, you're all fab :beer:Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Oh in terms of blinds over the back door/window.
Im at a loss with this, the squares you see on the glass will come off, its clear glass and thats basically sticky back plastic, but for glass.
The whole door/window is 1 piece, it was when they took the wooden frames out, so that white between the door/window is just UPVC.
I cannot think of anything else to do as curtains id have to have 1 long piece and have like a tension rod, meaning everytime i opened the door, id have to pull 1 piece of curtain back.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -

You really are rather limited until you can get some alternative units. It is almost like someone had some cheap units from a sale and put them to gether in a way that made least use of space. Even if you had corner units in both corners, you would have much more space.
Given you explanation above, I think a high level shelf above each door/doorwindow to take stuff you do not use often could free up some cupboard space, a trolley under the unit right of the cooker top and a drop down worktop.
Have you looked a the racks that go inside food cupboard doors, so you can keep light weight stuff in them and have less stuff to search through in the cupboard? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
You can get chopping boards that fit over sinks that would provide a little more surface.
You can get them to go over the hob too, apparently the are popular in Europe. I'm a buyer and have seen them from some of my suppliers. We don't sell them, and i know I couldnt refer you here to my company, but I would try some mail order people who tend to sell the more unusual items.0 -
hi. could you attach one of those things to ceiling to hold pans etc one of those contraptions with hooks to attach various implements!

Ours is a tiny kitchen, probably smaller than yours by the look of it.
I don't have room for a pan stand and haven't got much cupboard space for them either.
So, I bought some of those large brass cup hooks and some clear shower rings (think the shower rings were Asda basic ones).
I have screwed the hooks into the underside of one of the kitchen wall cupboards and have a shower ring hanging from it with a pan on each shower ring. This way I can hang 3 pans one behind the other which saves a lot os space.
