I also do not install mini trunking or have anything surface because I don't do in my house.
"That will do" is not a option0 -
I have an electric light, an electric shower and a wall mounted electric fan heater in my bathroom, they are designed and specified for the location and are perfectly safe.;)0

A properly fitted fan heater especially made for a bath room, and operated with a pull cord switch will be an economical way of getting heat in the bath room when it is needed. The heater would need to be hard wired via a fused spur unit, also at high level.
The heater that I fitted into the bathroom for my son, served him perfectly satisfactorily for 10years, until he bought his own house. It is still working ok, but is not now required, so it is not used at present.
I thought that nowadays storage heaters were fitted with some kind of hinged baffle which prevents much heat output during the day. Then you open the baffle when you get in at night. This would make them much more user friendly.
I am not to up to date on storage heaters, as it is many years since I last installed one. I expect that there is some new type on the market by now.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

Modern storage heaters do have a baffle, but it only slows the heat output and I find that mine are almost empty by 6pm.
The old ones used to run on a white meter, which gave a boost in the afternoon and was much better. Sadly the modern ones just get 7 hours at night.
I find the best use for them, is to set them on low and then use an electric oil radiator in the evening. This provides enough warmth during the day (my lounge has a large south facing window, which helps) and the radiator gives a welcome and controllable boost in the evening.
On the plus side storage heaters dont have the maintenance cost associated with gas boilers.0 -
