hi, i have aquired a samsung e530 off a friend that had it on contarct and had it cut off, so now the calls are blocked. I can put any network simcards in and it accepts them, you just can't make a call. Can i just take it down to the local market and they will be able to unlock it.
thanks

A phone "cut off by the network"?
If it's blocked by the network then it's usually because it's been reported stolen......and then the window licker said to me...0 -

I think they mean that the IMEI number has been reported and so now will flag up on every networks system. Unless you change the IMEI number, it is useless. And changing one of those is illegal, so please don't do it.0

you could get your mate to phone up the network with the imei and his details to get it unblocked but then they might want to restart the contract or bill them or something...if its def blocked you wont have a cat in hells chance of taking it anywhere tho.Fr.
