OK, I've done it!  Rang the Computashares phone number on the link provided above, bought the shares for £4, plus £15 admin fee!  This will get me £80 off my February booking, plus loads of discounts while I'm there.  By the way, they also do a gift service - so, there you go.  What a great site this is!  Oh, and even if they go down the pan after February, I'm not going to lose sleep over £4 of shares.

I just called NatWest again .... was told I have to open a sharedealing account in order to get the share price ???

Then called Computashares ..... told 20 shares would cost £3.80 ..... but there's a whopping £25 admin fees so that would cost me £28.80 for each account!! need to get two loads of shares ::)

Only just come back to this thread, Ally, if you aren't sorted by now, I would ring computashare back and query the admin fee, they told me £15 was the minimum, and you could buy 2 lots for that, it is just 1 admin fee per transaction. Hope it has all worked out for you.

Admin fee seems a bit high, I recently got a friend to recommend me to comdirect and we got £50 bonus each and used this to buy shares, think their rate is more competitive then this, also try someone like tdwaterhouse might find them a bit more competitive
2p off is still 2p off!

Maybe try the savings and investment board instead, or check the referrars board for details of com direct.

  • Hi. I hope some of you lovely moneysavers can help me. I would like to buy 20 shares in Eurodisney so I can join the shareholders club.

Does anybody know where I can buy the shares without paying a huge commission fee (Barclays who we bank with wanted £100 because it is an overseas market).

We are going to Disney in May and I would like to have the club membership sorted out before then.

    Thanks, Angela xx

Hi trying to find companies that sell disney shares and stumbled upon this feed. What is the web address for Computashares if there is one and any other places?

Looking for the same reasons as everyone else discounts after having been before and i'm already planning on going back it would be nice to get discounts:T
