phone your ISP and log a fault, there appears to be something seriously wrong with the line, if you have tried the router in the master socket, with all other phones unplugged, and get the bad results (sync) then the fault must be BTs end, rather than yours, so you shouldn't be liable for the £180 or so openreach charge.
Is there any noise on the voice line?Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
That's the odd thing.
Everything on the voice line seems absolutely fine.
I'm going to give the main socket one last attempt and if the same then pop an email to Sky Complaints I think - that usually gets these issues resolved urgently!!
Do you think disconnecting the bell wire is worth a go or best left alone?
Thanks0 -
the bell wire can make a difference, but your problem seems much bigger. You mention sky and BT, which one is it?Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

You should most certainly remove wire no.3 from all of your sockets.
If you have wire no.3 connected, I would be surprised if you find no improvement after disconnecting them.0 -

I've just looked at the back of the casing and only wires 2 & 5 (White/ Orange & Orange/ White) are connected & there are another 2 cables (Blue/Navy & White/Blue ) that are bound up and not actually connected to the socket - should they be???0 -

No, is that the case with all of the sockets?0 -

Unlikely. Is there a working microfilter attached? Maybe your Router can be tweaked as suggested earlier. You seem to have a lot of Noise Margin with which to play. Maybe a call you to ISP is in order.0
