Do Not use any cards in shell petrol stations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a phonecall yesterday from the fraud department at my bank asking to vertify 5 transactions in Australia!!!! I've never been to Australia!

The bank declined these transactions but after talking to friends and family I found out it was happening everywhere (well around Edinburgh that I know of but it maybe further?!) to alot of people and some weren't so lucky as the money was withdrawn but all these people it has happened to had all used there cards at shell petrol stations......

So please if you are buying fuel or anything please pay with cash and dont let these people rob you of your money.

I stay in Edinburgh and it was either the one at leith or crewe toll that had cloned my card as its the only time i really use it, my cousin used hers in Dalkeith/Mayfield branch and she had over £200 withdrawn! Also my sister told me she had read about it in the paper a couple of weeks ago (not sure what one) so please be very careful and if you notice anything unusual please call your bank straight away and if you have to use your card please keep an eye on what they do with it as all it akes is a quick swipe and they have everything.

My dad has his card cloned at Milton Keynes (Bradwell Abbey) Shell garage. Maybe its not that specific shell and more of a nationwide problem?

hi this has also been happening in the birmingham/solihull area, dont want to say which station exactly but the transactions are being made in canada, so be carefull.

I guess we shouldn't use them on BP stations ether - as the one near Bruntsfield Links had a few "problems" at the start of the year
