  • I am extremely excited about this. I've signed up to the flylady emails and I'm aiming for level two tasks this week because hubby is off work and I can get some moral and physical support. My task for this week over and above the general lists is to get all my washing done, either by washing it here or taking the whole lot to the laundrette. It's actually filling the entire space under my stairs and I'm sure most of it has been there for so long that the kids will have outgrown it by now.

    I am a disgrace!

Two things, one is you're not a disgrace, we were all like that and you just need somewhere to start, you've made your first baby step!

And two, you may come to regret signing up for those emails...:D You really get a lot and there is a lot of selling and promotion stuff too. Our list is not the same as the american flylady - not knocking them, but it's a bit too 'american' for me and some of the others on here too.

Good luck and welcome to the madhouse, we all encourage each other on here (or nag, whichever works for you) and help get each other through the bad times as well as the good... Just don't mention pegs and co-ordinated washing and you will be fine...:rotfl:

Welcome to the fold Jayjay - I hope you enjoy flying as much as we all do (not!!!):D

Pigpen - I hope things are ok, I think i've missed something. Who is GIL - I hope she's/he's ok.

Hex and Tag - what extra bits will I need to buy....do I need a remote docking station, will one extra control hand thingy (I know what i'm talking about :rotfl: ) do for now. I've found a package with sports, sonic and a rayman game and a docking station for £214. Is that any good? I've not ordered yet but might do later this week. Any advice appreciated.

Kitchen all tidy after roast dinner. Just finished all the washing from everyone being away last week....9 loads as EVERYTHING had to be washed including coats as MIL smokes and everything stank. Still, children had a great time.

Have a good week everyone xx
  • good to see you popping in again johanne - just you and pumpkin keep doing what you do best(having fun of course) and a little flying here and there when you can.

    Miss me?

Been away Up North, promise I waved to Lil_me as I flew over! Returned home and promptly came down with the local lurgy - seems to happen every time I fly but DS never catches it.

Anyway am back up again now - and working only part of the week, so time to crack on and tidy this hovel. See you later.. sorting out some over urgent PC stuff tonight - house tomorrow.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Thanks!

I had signed up for the emails a year or two back and got heartily hacked off after a day or two - I don't doubt it'll be the same this time but I honestly need all the encouragement I can get! In all seriousness, my house is really upsetting me in the state it's in and nobody but me is going to sort it. I hope the emails will stop me procrastinating a little. Or a lot!
