Hello to the newbies and returners!
Mudbath - on Hotukdeals they have Makro having the basic Wii for £146, or Morrisons for £160. You shouls be able to get two games for £30 from Argos. Mario Karts is the thing most played in this house (and we have a good selection of games) - you dont need the steering wheels but for littles it is easier. I got Wii Play which came with a second remote but the games are nothing special. We don't have a docking station, I just use normal rechargeable batteries.
I have been to a potential client meeting this morning and put a joint proposal in with another consultant, got my invoicing done. Did the food shopping on the way back, put it away, emptied the DW and out it on a cleaning cycle again, filled the WM, read the thread as a reward for working hard, and now off to get the boys from school, posting DH's expenses and mileage claim on the way. I remember when I was pregnant with DS1 having this little fantasy about what life as a stay at home Mum would be like. I've burnt my hand on the oven door. Right on the knuckle so I've been sat here for 20 mins trying to read OU forum thing surfing with just my left hand while I had a cold compress on the burn  Now I can't feel my fingers on my right hand and just remembered I've got the job center at 4pm so its more or less straight out from school .
Right, best clear up in the kitchen so I can cook tea, then go and get DD from school (clearing out text messages from my mobile as its shouting its 95% full again  ), come home pick my bag up, throw DD into some other clothes (only if she's out before half-past!) and then get to the job center which is about a 20-25 minute walk with DD in tow.

All this talk about Wii reminded me of my good deed I did on Saturday while in town. I was looking at the DS games in GAME (only seeing what there was) and this family was there looking at the different DS packs (starting at £120  ). When the salesman went, I stood next to them and said "have you tried Argos?"
The woman looked at me blankly and said no. So I explained the deals available at Argos, another woman who was also looking at them asked me to repeat the offer to her, especially about the bit about getting a £10 voucher since it was over £100 spend, and both parties toddled off to Argos to get the DS's instead
:rotfl::rotfl: I'm spreading the word about cutting costs
;)

Hello all
I'm back from my weekend away. It was lovely to meet our new niece and see both families. Shattered now though after 2 nights in 2 different beds and lots of people. Just home and have popped the heating on. DH nipped into town to pick a couple of things up but will be home soon. I do need to nip out later to do a few bits up the high street and will try and do the living room to level 2 later too.

hi all, thought I'd just log in and let you know I survived the cold Cornish weather and the dismal Windsor drizzle - so back to ... cold and rainy Norfolk! Haven't had the energy to fly much yet but have done 4 loads wm and td, and put it all away as well as unpack and put away - I was so glad to get back to my lovely shiny house - my friends definitely need a dose of flyladies! I resisted the urge to clean the cobwebs and cat fur from every surface known to mankind - but only just and by the end of th eweek I just had to clean out the kitchen sink and surfaces - didn't want to offend but... I looked at my bathroom sink and it was all shiny with no toothpaste blobs and my heart sang! Even my DS notices the difference - yesterday he asked why the kitchen sink was all wet - I had just used it to drain the veg - so I explained and asked why he wanted to know - well it's usually all dry and shiny now was the reply!!
No macaws planned this week - I think we'll just concentrate on getting back into routine. Will try to keep up with some of the posts but hugs to all and glad to see so many new members on board!Sealed Pot 617 - target £150 only managed £27 in 2009!0 -

Lil-me i'm glad your OH has decided not to take the job, i bet you're relieved.
Well done Nicki on spreading the moneysaving.:j0 -
Not got any further. Played a load of board games with DS3 and sorted out one item to ebay. Good that there is not stuff laying around unwanted but thought there might be more - I have heaps in the loft to sell but that is harder work.
Big ones home from school now. Going to do one last
HHC15:30-16:00 - hallway and a bit in the bathroom - leaving downstairs until all kids back at school tomorrow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I have made Chicken Korma for tonight's dinner from yesterday's , left over chicken, I just have to make sure it is fully cooked when I get home, and cook some rice.
