Personally older Mercs will have a lot cheaper running costs than your average car.
As for the OP if the screen isn't bonded and is the old fashioned type then a trip to the scrappy and a bit of string might do the trick.
Even if bonded I would be hunting out one from the scrappy and getting it fitted, your local garage should be able to give you the number of someone.0 -
