What the hell was that for?
Have a think about it, does the OP honestly think that immigrants get more benefits than everyone else just because of their ethnicity. Using immigrants as a scapegoat to mask his own failings are frankly ludicrous.
Attempting to justify your stance because you're a taxpayer is ridiculous, I'm a higher rate tax payer does that mean even although i use private health care i should not subsidize for those who need the NHS.
We're part of a democratic society where our system tries to take more money from those who can 'afford' and less from those in need. Anyone fancy being a third world country?
People like the OP need to get off their morale high horse, because i can certainly appreciate a 20k tax bill while an 'inconvenience' for some for others like the OP i bet it would be pretty untenable.
It's not very nice when the boot is on the other shoe, now is it.0 -

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Is that not the reason for going to work? Paying your bills and rent/mortgage?
After tax & NI this leaves over £250 per month to spend on food, luxuries etc. This is more than JSA or income support before bills are paid so count yourself very lucky to have this sort of income - there is no reason why you shouldnt be comfortable.
As suggested earlier, you could get a lodger to help with mortgage/bills and use this money to fund your central heating.
There would be no entitlement to WTC as the threshold is under £13,000 gross.
If you want to continue to receive constructive advice on the boards I would stay away for slagging off immigrants as contrary to common belief, they dont all live in mansions with central heating and get money thrown at them!0 -
:rotfl: your lucky most of us on here spend 100% of our wages on making sure all the bills are paid!
i know i do . . . . and yes it is my choice to buy a house so no i dont whine about it, just get on with it,0
