Longest credit card for a new purchase needed?

I want to buy a new plasma tv and the store does not have 0% interest for paying for it and as its a fair amount i am looking for a new card to apply that i can get asap and use to buy the plasma and use the 0% on the card to pay up the tv,i prefer to have the longest 0% available but cant settle for 10 months,i need a few options as i already have a few cards already.

Well i bank with them but dont have there credit card but i am puzzled as to what this means,i just looked up there site and looked at there card and it said,You will also get 0% for 3 months on purchases.

What does that mean if i spent or used it on a high purchase item i would need to pay it all back in 3 months or does this mean i have three months to take the 0% interest free on buying and after that any items purchased will be charged with interest?
    Im not sure.

Also are they good with credit limits? As i need a good one for my purchase.

Don't know what 0% for 3 months on purchases means.

On my credit card agreement from them it say's purchases and balance transfers for the first 9 months from account opening is 0%. Don't know what my credit limit will be until the card arrives.

The reason for the discrepancy/confusion is that one of you is talking about Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS), and the other is talking about the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
