According to Teletext (ch4 p534), Skycard are launching a new offering on 20th December 2005.
The new card will offer 12 months 0% on both BT's and Purchases until 1st January 2007, and retain the present 2.5% BT fee.
The Teletext article doesn't mention whether the BT fee will remain capped at £50, and there is currently no information on the Skycard website at http://www.sky.com/skycom/article/0,,91095-1176478,00.html

Nothing about a new card launching on 20th December but does have this offer:
..And a great introductory rate. All in one credit card
At home, online, in the high street or abroad, SkyCard works just like any regular credit card. And it also gives you:
* 0% interest on balance transfers until 1st October 2006 (Please bear in mind that we will charge you a 2.5% fee of each balance transfer amount up to a maximum of £50)
* 0% interest on purchases until 1st October 2006
* 16.9% APR typical variable
* No annual fee
SkyCard also does things no other credit card can do. That's because it's the first credit card designed to work in the interactive card slot on your Sky box.0 -
Does anyone know if this card has SBT facilities?0

Hi
I have a skycard with another 3 months of 0% on BT's. I have nothing bad to say about them and when I got the card a few months back, I was lucky that I dont currently pay anything on BT's.
12 months is a really good deal ATM. I dont think you can SBT with this card. My 0% runs out in 3 months-do you think they will offer any deals when its coming to an end? Hopefully, I should be pretty clear by then but may have a small amount left to pay, have been offered 3.9% on life of balance if BT with Halifax One card that I already have.

No SBT facilities, but this is now the best buy for Purchases, and therefore for doing the "Easy Method" way of stoozingFormer MSE team member0

The offer is now on the Sky website...

Great news for spenders and slow stoozers, but not so good for debt shifters and hardened stoozers due to the uncapped 2.5% BT fee.0 -
The pdf file with the T&Cs says the BT fee is max £50 per transfer. My Acrobat says the file is damaged and cannot be repaired.
The pdf also says that the 0% on BTs and purchases ends on 1st October 2006. I make this 10 months then, not 12
Looks like Sky haven't quite got their act together on this yet0 -
Have just been looking on the sky website and if you click 'apply now' the application form states the following:
"0% until 1st January 2007 on purchases and balance transfers. A charge of 2.5% of the balance transfer amount applies, up to a maximum of £50."
My girlfriend is going to apply for one tomorrow.0 -

We will charge you:
£5 for each copy of transaction details (unless the copy shows a transaction which has been wrongly put on your account); and
£5 for each copy of a statement
A 2.75% foreign exchange fee is charged on the value of non-sterling transactions. See condition 2.6 for more details. We will usually charge a handling fee of 2.5% (minimum £2.50) on the amount of cash, travellers' cheques, balance transfers or SkyCard cheques charged to your account by you or any additional cardholder.0 -
I just called Skycard (on 0800 0560939) and was told
- it's definitely 12 months (until 1 Jan 07). October 06 was the previous offer
- BT fees are 2.5% and max £50
Still feel uneasy about the somewhat conflicting/unclear information on the website, but I think I'll apply for one and note on the application form that I only want my application processed if the above two conditions are met.0
