Talking of allergies I have been ordered by my SIL and best friend to get myself to the doctors as I seem to be developing a really bad allergy to some animals.

I seem to be OK with cats but I am always sneezing and blowing my nose on a morning.

I had a bout of pneumonia 3 years ago and since then, whenever I have spent any amount of time in a house that has dogs my chest gets really tight and my nose starts to stream. On holiday I went to see a show with horses and I started to feel really ill and found it difficult to breath normally throught the whole night, I had to sleep sitting up:o

Me being me I just ignore it until it happens next time, like on Friday night when I had been to my Mums who has a collie then next doors who also has a dog. I felt really ill all night again.

My SIL says that she thinks it sounds like allergy induced asthma which can be very dangerous apparantly:confused:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I am making a point of going some time this month otherwise I will keep getting bugged as OH is on my case now too.

Xfactor was quite good last night I thought, except for that bloke who sings like Tom Jones, he was just uncomfortable to watch. bleuhhhh

Have I got news for you with Tom Baker hosting was the funniest thing I had seen in ages:rotfl:

    hello all.

I think I'm just about set for my parents to arrive. Not quite sure how sleeping on the sofa bed is going to turn out, it will be the first time I've slept on it since Ibought it - I can't really ask my mum and dad to sleep on it, bit unfair really - my Dad is 61 and my mum is 58 and has a back problem similar to mine.

I'm eating a 'scavenged' free lunch - my ex gives me food he is going to chuck sometimes and yesterday he gave me 2 gem lettuce, an unopened jar of lemon and piri piri marinade and a Tesco Finest chicken and mushroom pie covered with mash ready meal. I'm having the pie at the moment, but am glad I didn't pay good money for it myself!!. I was also offered 4 stale rolls, usually I take the stale bread and whizz it into breadcrumbs but I don't have any room to freeze them. I can't abide to see food being thrown away and so am more than pleased to take any charitable donations :rotfl:

I spent £48 in Tesco this morning _pale_ for food to cover the next 3 nights for us all. A big chicken to roast for tonight, beef sausages for tomorrow (my dad is very allergic to pork) and a load of stewing beef for the slow cooker on Tuesday.
