They did something similar at my Tesco, I got a free cutter thing to make fancy carrot twirls or cucmber flowers at the end of the demo. Worth about 99p I reckon but better than nothing. It's the same style of demo you get at the ideal Home Exhibition.

  • Yeah that would be poor publicity for Tescos... "Tesco employee threatened with free Knife" Crikey!
  • We had one of these demos in our store last year, can't quite remember but I think you got the 'free' knife when you purchased the big one! Rip off!

But I have got one of these, brought as a present and it is brilliant! would recommend it.

I've been to one of those demonstrations (was in Debenhams) and we did get a free fancy cutter thingie at the end. Not a proper knife, just a thing for doing fancy veg twirls and stuff.

    I've never used mine. :o

There was one of these demostrations in my local store last year where they were giving away a free gadget (not a knife though). So I went and watched and thought it was interesting, but they refused to give me one as I couldnt prove I was over 21 (was 20). Apparently the free gifts are only for 21 and over, but he couldnt tell me why?

I'm still slightly concerned that they were giving out free knives in the first place!!!

I know! What next? Shops that actually sell knives? Madness, the country will fall to pieces, and we'll all be stabbing each other.

sorry but what on earth is concerning about a free knife?

  • i suppose they get to give away less freebies if half walk away and then the age thing stops some getting their freebie.
