i see theyve hit ebay? *frown emoticon*
ebay listing. not linking that to advertise that sale... but it does have good photos of the item
i went into CHELTENHAM town centre boots, was treated badly at first. left stood there ten mins! but when the liz arden lady arrived she was nice enough. my baby was with me, and she said something like i probally dont have much time for a skin-care regime. and i don't!
Anyway, the reason for my post here, when the liz arden lady appeared she was carrying a bag full of these. so chelt and glos ladies, time to go shoppingJulie0 -
btw when i went to the one in reading i asked not to have the skin consultation and she said she cant do that because she has to try and sell me stuff. But when i had the actual consultation she didnt even tell me what the names of the products she was using were because she knew i wasnt gonna buy anything anyway0

I was up in Hull this weekend and went into the Boots in the 'Prospect' centre. Apparently the Liz Arden desk doesn't have a rep anymore, they only got 5 of the eyeshadows and they went immediately - I take you didn't need a skin consultation there! They weren't expecting any more.
Today I went to Boots in Bury St Edmunds where they did have the eyeshadows and they were on display. The lady was really helpful because I had my little boy with me she didn't do a full skin consultation but I did end up buying some products which were reduced for Xmas presents! Fabulous I wouldn't have known about the offer without this post so thank you so much I love my new make up!!!!0 -
boots in new street birmingham have had supplies in tonight, I'm not sure how many but I saw the sales assistant was putting them out 15mins before closing tonight and managed to get one.0

Went to Cribbs, Bristol, and the lady just gave me the eyeshadow without even mentioning a consultation. It was the Go Red Colour Intrigue. Very pleased!0

Snotty jobsworth SA who looked like a tarted up extra from Dawn Of The Dead refused to give me the stuffing thing.
SA: 'Your Lady must come and have a consultation.'
Me: 'She's agoraphobic.'
SA: 'But there must be a consultation.'
Me: 'OK I'll have one.'
SA: 'Ha, ha.'
Me: 'No seriously, consult me lady.'
SA: 'Sorry Sir, I need to serve a customer now.'
Well, at least the SA on the Max Factor till had a giggle.

Well I made a fresh attempt today.
Marched in Boots and towards the EA Counter in the hope of a different SA...
...fat chance.
Same flesh-eating creature but this time she was dressed up as a school-girl  .
Either it was for Children In Need or she was ready for an after-work shoot of some kind of Zombie re-make of St Trianian's
SA: 'Can I help you Sir?'
Me: 'Well yes you can as a matter of fact, if you let me have the eyeshadow in exchange for the voucher I'll throw in a packet of spangles as well!'
SA 'Ha Ha Sir, run along now please.'

Having gone into the Maidstone branch of Boots on Sunday, and being told I would have to come back another day as the Elizabeth Arden rep doesn't work on Sundays, I went in again today. She wasn't in today, either! I showed one of the other shop assistants the voucher, and she told me I would have to have the consultation to get the eyeshadow. I pointed out that I couldn't keep coming in on the offchance the EA rep was there, and that it didn't actually say you HAD to have a consultation. She consulted with another, and agreed to give me the eyeshadow.
Hey Dude, I think maybe your SA needs reporting to her superiors for being sexist. Doesn't she know men wear makeup and use skincare products these days?0 -

I would seriously complain to the manager at the store. She would (rightly) get in a lot of trouble for total unfair discrimination. I know you said the eyeshadow wasnt for you, but suppose it was. What right has she got to judge men who wear makeup or stop them taking advantage of the offer?
Im not a man btw, i got the eyeshadow and i NEVER wear makeup, but i wanted it for my sis. I just hate people who discriminate.0 -
TBH the first post was all true (apart from the agoraphobic bit...)
And I did indeed go in today on the off-chance - and she was there dressed as described (shudders again) but the conversation is just me and my dodgy sense of humour...
Have a good evening!
