I cannot get a card to spend instore either despite them offering me one twice and me saying yes. They do not even acknowledge me with a reply as to why they won't send me one. BTW it is not a store card, it is a card which allows you to buy in store but have your catalogue account billed instead. I am fast becoming dissolusioned with them.0

I hadn't heard of VIP slots until I was browsing this forum earlier, I've been a customer of Next for years and have a credit limit of £3000 with them, so I phoned customer services and enquired why I had never been given an invite. I was given a slot there and then for thursday so thanks guys. :snow_grinTesco: £1361.19, Vanquis: £2644.73, Very: £563.08, Next: £1636.95, M&S: £1049.92. As of 5th February 2024. Slava Ukraini0

Hi, re this buying at full price then taking it back and re-buying at the sale price.
I used to work at Marks and Spencers and there is NO WAY you would be able to do that there. Our standard reply was that the item had to be re-processed and we were not able to re-sell it before then.
I once had a customer go completely potty at me when she wanted to rebuy a dinner set she had returned. She called the Manager of the store down and everything. But he backed me up and refused to sell it to her.
And by the way, Martin, when are you going to add yourself a Christmas hat and beard in your picture on the Homepage. I've been with you through the Ashes series and Guy Fawkes etc . Surely you haven't gone all serious on us??!!“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -

Well, I have done it numerous times at Next and there has never been a problem. The stuff goes straight back on the shop floor anyway, so it makes no odds. I guess it is up to the individual as to whether they sell it to you or put it on the shop floor. If they sell it back to you then it saves the hassle of hanging it and putting it back out .0 -
anyone still have the link to the website for booking slot!!0

Hey thanks so much for this. I wasn't invited last year so just rang up and made out I'd received an email but couldn't register for a slot, and they registered on my behalf.
Thought I'd try my luck again this year and it worked
Thanks to the OP0 -

Even if most of the stuff you want has gone, dont give up - keep trying - the best time is 2 or 3 weeks into January, when people have returned things, and the Directory seems to get new stock in. I make a list of all the things I want and I nearly always get everything, eventually ! So keep trying is my advice. :xmassign:0 -
