Is there anything stoppping me buying all the clothes on my wanted list this coming week.....keeping them for two weeks....then taking them back to NEXT for a full refund, but explain that you would keep them if they are in the sale. Cashier can re-scan in bar-codes and hopefully up pop the discounts!
This way you could guarentee getting the clothes you want without the mad rush or early morning phone call after Christmas...and inestead have a nice lie-in!
Interested in your thoughts - cheers.
Yes you can do this !!!! I do it all the time :xmassmile. The only thing is that Directory stock is only retained in the store for about a week after the sale, which is the only time you can re-buy the items, otherwise the items are sent back to the Directory !0 -
so do you ask them to scan it straight away? because what if someone lese buys my items? I REALLY want two items but it would be so much nicer at half price!
Have anyone refused to do this?0 -

OK, if you buy something from the directory you can't re-buy it in the store if you go to return as they have to send it back (they stick orange stickers on the packaging).
As for buying something full price, I tried this once and the Manager said 'no' flatly. She actually looked quite annoyed. Maybe other staff are more lenient and maybe a lot of people have tried it on so they don't like doing it. I guess you just have to try your luck and see.0 -

For the week after Xmas you CAN re-buy Directory returns as they dont send the items back to the Directory - this is from NOW until about a week after the sale.
I have alway re bought stuff and no-one has refused, if I dont re-buy it at the sale price then someone else will ! If you dont ask you dont get !0 -
So I can order stuff from the directory now and take it back after sale has started and ask to re-buy it and they will let me??
You work for Next, can I take your name? Joke lol!

Please do not forward this email as only 'invited' customers will qualify.''
Ok, the emails not been forwarded but the content has. I've been lucky enough to have the invite and have a 6am slot on the 22nd.0 -
well, i was truly fuming after reading that some get an invite every year so i rang up and complained (especially as i spend over £700 each year and NEVER got a vip slot ) and they gave me a slot!! woo hooo.
Thanks. Not bah humbugging anymore. Knowing my luck someone will ring me & wont get off the phone at my slot(i am sure she said they would ring me. am i wrong?)0 -

No, you're not wrong Mandles - I've just had a phone call from them offering me VIP access to the sales stuff, and they will be ringing me Thursday morning. If anyone else rings me then, I shall just have to put the phone down on them straight away lol!0 -
Frogling wrote:I haven't had an invite this year, despite spending plenty of money with them
It's just down to the luck of the draw.
I've never had an invite of them despite being a customer for a lot of years, always having an active account, and spending a shed load of money with them. I cannot get a card to spend instore either despite them offering me one twice and me saying yes. They do not even acknowledge me with a reply as to why they won't send me one. BTW it is not a store card, it is a card which allows you to buy in store but have your catalogue account billed instead. I am fast becoming dissolusioned with them.0 -
libitina wrote:I've not had one even though I complained last time and got a £15 voucher. Clicked on the link in the OP and it let me gister anyway, give it a go.
It wouldn't let me register ..... Maybe you were going to get an invite anywayA banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.0
