VIP slots for the NEXT sale 27th December (merged) [CLOSED]

It cant be to do with how much you spend, as I never spend anything. I order all the things I like then return then ALL and order what I want through the store, as I am staff and get 25 % discount....therefore I never spend any money with them, and I always seem to get a VIP invite ! Who knows what their policy is. I am busy making my list already !

A friend of mine works at Next and has been told that they can invite friends and family to work in-store on the sale days..... whilst you don't get the 25% discount, you do get paid to work and you're allowed in an hour before the sale begins to pick out anything you want to buy.
So to those people who didn't get a VIP invite, if you know someone who works at Next, maybe try and wangle a job there just for the sale days! :snow_grin

This might be a stupid question, but how do you get a VIP slot?

I have been always lucky enough to get one. Basically I shop online from the next site and selected to receive emails / offers from them. havent done anything else and just get the invite before each sale. Admittedly I do tend to spend quite a bit over the year so perhaps thats why im lucky enough to get the invite, or otherwise I guess its just pot luck !

No such thing as a stupid question here Eager Beaver! You need to be a Next account holder to get a VIP slot, and even then you aren't guaranteed an invite. They are picked out at random and the lucky ones are sent an e-mail with a link to the registration page to choose their timeslot.

I haven't had an invite this year, despite spending plenty of money with them It's just down to the luck of the draw.

Don't mean to be a 'Bah Humbug' but Nexts email does state the following:

''The VIP online sale is for a limited number of valued customers.
Please do not forward this email as only 'invited' customers will qualify.''

Ok, the emails not been forwarded but the content has. I've been lucky enough to have the invite and have a 6am slot on the 22nd.

It doesn't matter - only those whose account numbers are on the VIP list for this sale will be able to actually register. Anyone else will be blocked from registering. Those people who say that they have booked a slot without having received an invite will be on the list, their e-mail from Next simply won't have arrived yet.
