sounds good although it doesn't sound like much puree? I :heart2: puff pastry especially jus roll. I couldn't believe how good it was when I first tried it as I'm the first to admit I'm a bit of a snob about 'pre-made' food.

The Tomato puree is quite strong so you dont want to mask the other flavors, but like everything just do it to taste.

My family loves our beanfeast casserole (can get Asda brand one for less than a pound - feeds 6 of us). Just pop some potatoes in the bottom (hotpot style), add cooked beanfeast, fave veggies, pasta, whatever you fancy really, and its about £2.50. I usually make a few to save on cooking costs and pop them in the freezer.

  • Savory rice - rice boiled with a stockcube, with frozen peas/sweetcorn added, a couple of sliced mushrooms or whatever you fancy.

I make a veggie chickpea curry that is very filling with rice - basically it's a tin of tomatoes, tin of chickpeas, onion, (any other veg, or not), and curry powder. It makes us at least 4 or 5 portions.

Also, simple homemade veggie/lentil soups and bread.
