I am still transfering money from my current account into the Ebond. My second chunk showing it went into the account today and my third chunk hopefully tomorrow.
If anyone is still wanting to fund this Ebond I would do it ASAP.
Just got this e-mail timed at 5:08pm today(Monday)
eBond, 6.50% gross p.a./AER - Product Withdrawal
Thank you for applying to invest in our recent e-Bond offer. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of this offer, it became fully subscribed on Friday 31st October at which time it was withdrawn from sale.
As indicated in the terms of the offer, this means we are unable to accept any further deposits and payments received after Friday 31st October. Any payment and receipts received after this time will be returned to you.
So royal mail did there job and it got to YBS (posted Friday) but even though account opened last week they have decided its arrived to late. They suggest I open an internet saver, already have one but transfered money out(£1 left plus accrued interest of £1k +) as they were not competative. Someone mentioned a 1 year bond paying fixed 7% I'm off to do a search and see if its still available.0 -
I applied for this account a week ago and was told over phone it was approved and that I would receive my welcome pack today, on 4th of December ... does that mean I have effectively fixed just £100 (initial deposit) for a year and will not be able to add any funds ?

p.s. I have not received any e-mail as above yet ...All my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30 -

Unfortunately that seems to be the case. The add funds option is no longer available on the website.

I opened this account last Friday and made an initial deposit of £100 like you. I had phoned them to ask if I would have enough time to deposit the bulk of the money this week as I was transferring it from another savings account. I was told there was no problem and they planned to keep the offer going until the end of November. I received the email on Sunday so I rang them and they will not let me transfer any further funds in. They closed the account the same day they accepted my application and initial deposit. They did say however that they will arrange to refund my £100 so you should get your £100 back.0 -
I did my last bank transfer on Friday 31 Oct which has just shown up in my YBS account this morning. I was suprised to see it there but am relieved I have just managed to transfer all the money I wanted.
So they must be accepting money arriving after the 1 Nov as it usually takes 2 working days to get through the system.0 -
To good to be true, my last credit to this account (04 Nov) has now been removed/returned and annotated as 'SO' what ever that means looking at the Mini statement option.
Now to see how long it takes to reach my bank account.0
