  • I'm not sure if it has been posted on here or not yet but I was in B&Q and Homebase today and noticed that on some of the gardening products e.g plant food and weed killer etc there was offers on to receive x amount back depending on the product and manufacturer. Some can be done on line without receipts just using the code printed on the promotional info and some you have to send receipts off to claim your money.
    Hth anyone needing to buy the items xxx

    I did this with Highland Water a few years back. I stated that I knew they couldn't control the price supermarket charged but I was letting them know anyway. I received a big box of bottled water in return.
    I remember that promotion, and I remember emailing them too about this. What I can't remember is what they did about it - I either did receive the full amount after all, or maybe they sent me freebies too - but the point is they definitely compensated somehow. :T That's why I'm not at all impressed with Bacofoil. :rolleyes:

    For the Twinings Everyday Tea offer you need to cut out the bottom of the advert. So far the advert has appeared in Good Housekeeping, Good Food Magazine and the Metro Newspaper.
    My copy of the metro wasn't very clear with the Terms and Conditions so they are available on Emetro edition 31/03/2009 page 20 (metro.co.uk)
    The Main ones are:
    * Refund of ONE 80 pack of Everyday Tea Bags plus 2nd Class postage
    *Send Original Dated Receipt (30.3.2009 to 29.6.2009), Cut out from advert, Name and Address, 15 word + statement on why you didn't like tea.
    * One Claim Per Household
    * Maximum claim value is £2.29
    * Closing Date is 6.7.2009

    Send to
    Twinings Everyday Tea Offer, UMB006, PO BOX 151, Ludlow, SY89BE
    Just a heads-up on the Twinings offer - there's an advert and the coupon to send off in the new issue of Good Housekeeping (June issue). I got mine on subscription (3 for £3 plus cashback), but I guess it's not worth buying the magazine for otherwise.

    It's a women's razor - you get a handle, five blades and a "showerpod" which is basically a holder for it that you stick to your shower wall for five pounds odd.

    The offer is your money back if you don't love it after 14 days. You do have to send the handle back (not the blades) so you would end up with some presumably useless blades unless you already have a the handle from buying it previously. Alternatively, the offer closes 1/06/10 so you could keep it for the year and send off for the offer then.

    I spotted it in Boots - there's a bright pink promotional sleeve (which slides off) which is the part you need for the application form.

    Might be of use to someone.

    Superdrug have got a buy one get second half price promotion on all their razors and blades at the mo.

    Does anyone know if the handles/blades are universal for these i.e. will the blades fit on say a wilkinson sword handle?

    I doubt it will fit a Wilkinson handle, but it probably will fit an older-style Gillette one. :confused:

    I have quite a collection of (free) razors (from various promotions) so will try them in a minute. :)

    Haven't found the Primula TMF in the black tube mentioned by Zziggi yet but have found a different Primula TMF in Tesco today. You don't need a promotional tube for this one as there is no token to send, you only need your receipt:

    Primula Smokey Cheese - Try me, Love me or your money back!

    Offer open to UK residents only. Offer valid only on purchases of Primula Smokey Cheese tube. Send in a 15 word statement explaining what you disliked about the product, along with a till receipt and your name and address within 14 days of purchase but to arrive by 31/08/09 at the latest to:

    Primula Smokey
    c/o Kavli Ltd
    Team Valley Trading Estate
    Gateshead
    Tyne & Wear
    NE11 0ST

    Only one claim per household. Refund will be made to the value on the till receipt. Cheques will be made payable to the name on the claim. Allow 28 days for the refund.
    Have found this product but none with the 'Try me, Love me etc' on it. Is it printed on the tube or is there a collar or something, please?

    It's printed on the tube at the top. I found it in Tesco - hope you find one soon.

    Sorry, finally an update on this.

    The new Gillette blade fits the older Gillette handle (they're pretty much the same every year, just a different colour! :rolleyes:), but definitely does not fit Wilkinson Sword, as suspected.
