Bleeding Radiators

Is it hard to do :confused:

My kitchen, bedroom and bathroom radiator are only warm at the bottom and cold at the top i was told to bleed them but i don't have a clue how to being a woman and all lol :D

  • you need a radiator key look at the top bit see the shape of it and go to b&q or similar and get key (if not sure take mould of it in blu-tack?? just a suggestion)

    it's quite easy to do once you get the key - just make sure you keep the heatng off when doing it

    A friend lent me a key not sure if it fits tho how would i know :confused:

    If the key fits you turn it a little anti-clockwise and if air comes out you leave it open until you get water. If you get water you close it up and move onto the next one.

    Was just asking as some guides only give you rough ideas and i didn't want to make the problem worse.

  • My bathroom radiator is only hot at the bottom.
    I thought it needed bleeding but when I open it no water comes out at all no matter how long I wait.
    Anyone got any ideas on what is wrong and what to do please ? It is a conventional boiler.Only started a couple of days ago.
