e2save returns
hey all, i'd just like someone to clarify my reading of e2save t&c for returns. bought my gal a new phone on orange 18m contract, i'll receive it today or tommorow. it's a cashback, i've never had probs with cashback and e2save on 2 previous phones so i went ahead. i now see folk reckon they have got worse over time. so i looked into their returns policy and it seems i can return the phone within 14days but the contract can't be cancelled?? is this correct? are contracts separate from the 14 days cooling off period.
the thing is i've found the same package on an autocashback deal, £1 or 2 more per month but it saves the hoop jumping! so will i have to remain with the deal i have purchased?
thanks
dan

No, under DSR you can cancel the deal. One convenient way is to refuse to accept delivery.0

good stuff, so since i have yet to receive the parcel. is my best option to refuse ut and have it sent back to them. what about the dd's how would that go. would i need to cancel it directly with the bank?0

Best to - if there are no dds they cannot get any money out of you, even if by some cruel twist of fate they don't cancel the contract properly, and you end up getting any bills you have to sort out!0

thanks for the help, lets hope phones 4 u are up to paying out the cheques. that's where i saw the deal.0

They seem flavour of the month, so touch wood and all that!0

sorry one last thing. do i need to contact e2save about the return once i've told the postie to return to sender?

You could write, recorded delivery, (keeping a copy), confirming you do not want the phone, and that you refused to accept it from the courier.
This will give you a clear start of a paper chain to use in case there are any repercussions.0
