HELP - e2save cashback problem

Hi,
e2save have a policy for cashback contracts where you can send your bills 60days after you receive your bill.
I sent off my cashback bill in 20 July 2008 (the day i received my bill). I called up in 20 September and discovered that they havent received it. They said i have another 30days to send it. I then sent another cashback claim letter.
I called up today (1 month outside the time ) and discovered that they havent received it for the second time and will not give me my cashback.
I have lost the recorded delivery slip. Is there anyway in which i can claim back the money still?
Rakesh

Have you lost both recorded delivery receipts?
If so, then you have probably also lost the cashback.
Your one chance might be that they have started putting posts on this forum (in some attempt at pr), and they might see this as an opportunity to demonstrate their goodwill.0 -
Funny thing is, i have had 4 contracts (around 16 letters sent to them ) in the past with them and this is the only time where they havent received the bills - even more funny is that it had in consequative occassions.0

As you will see, past performance counts for nothing.
And from other recent posts, you will have seen that they now have a scheme where in many cases they don't pay up until the customer contacts them and says "where's my money", they reply "you never sent in your claim", the customer replies "yes I did, here's the proof" - whereupon they say ok, a cheque will come in the next 28 days!
I'm sure you are kicking yourself for losing your receipts, but if you lose out, at least take a little consolation that by being prepared to post about it here that others thinking they are a great company (based on previous experience) will realise they need to revise that conception!0 -
response from e2 save:
Dear Mr Chauhan
Thank you for your email to our Customer Support Team regarding your month 6 cashback for mobile number XXXXXXXX. The claim was valid from the 21st July for 60 days. Our records do not show that a claim has been received.
As you do not have the Royal Mail recorded delivery information then we are unable to show that a claim was sent or received within the claim window. Our literature does advise that claims are sent by recorded mail and this is because we are then able to trace missing items.
As we have not received the required documentation within your claim period we are unable to award you with your cashback in this case. Although I appreciate that you feel that this claim is due to you as part of your original contract, I must advise that there are strict guidelines that must be met in order for your claim to be honoured and in this circumstance these guidelines have not been met as the claim was not received.
I realise this may not the decision which you had hoped for and I apologise that we are unable to offer further flexibility with our cashback terms.
Should you have any further queries regarding the information in this email, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Team on 0871 522 3400 or for Cashback queries contact 0871 522 3403 and we will be happy to help you.
Kind Regards,
Kate Edmunds

Absolute jokers, i bet they've got it but wont want to cash up unless i've got a reciept of the recorded delivery0 -
1) You should have followed the posts throughout so would already know this is how they deal with people NOW.
2) You should NOT have waited to check OR re-sent provided you could prove receipt of the first claim.
3) Unless E2save help on here as one of their "selected few" move on. Under YOUR t&c you should still be entitled to claim other cashbacks - but YOu will have to check YOUR LEGAl t&c for that. If you don't know what they are, read all the threads or risk losing the rest too.
This is hardly news and fairly easily avoided. However, you can't put the genie back in the bottle.0
