Mobile & House Broadband

Have been reading through the guides and am at a total loss of what to choose.
We are about to move into a rented house for 6 months, and require broadband to use in the home.
Also my husband will be starting a new HGV job, and will be away from home for most of the week, so thought that some kind of mobile broadband could be of use.
Ideally we were hoping that we could be in contact using skype (or something along those lines) as well as email, and thus avoiding any high mobile bills.
Can anyone please advise us of what package we should choose.
Many thanks in advance.

Look agt the O2 offer, they have good reviews for home broadband. They have a package home broadband + mobile broadband for £20 a month. But I think is for a year contract , not 6 months0

The O2 mobile is an 18 months contract - £15 a month and you get the home bit for an extra fiver a month. You also get WiFi access at any 'Cloud' access point, looks a reasonable deal overall.
[edit] looks like the home bit is an extra fiver for the first year, then it goes up to £7.50 (you can also get the £7.50 deal if you have an O2 phone).0
