USA Equivalent of Money Saving Expert?

Just wondering if anyone knows of an American website that is just like this one?
Thanks & good fortunes!

Thanks for those, but maybe I wasn't clear. Those sites are for deals and coupons. MSE is so much more than that though. I am wondering if there is anything like it in the USA - giving advice on the best cashback cards, when to switch utility providers, and all the other personal insight Martin gives into specific topics. Not just voucher codes!
    Thanks & good fortunes!

Having lived in the US for 3 years I haven't found anything similar. Hence me still hanging around here like a bad smell.

The whole "money saving" isn't really in an Americans DNA. They are very brand loyal and aren't really bothered about savings that can be made. Strange lot ;)

This is the closest I've ever come across...a lot of it's coupons and discount codes but the forum isn't too bad - there is a travel board which is how I stumbled across it in the first place. Not much in the way of articles, guides etc and really not a patch on MSE but better than nothing!

Oh, and on a bit of a tangent, this is a US equivalent of TopCashBack / Quidco. You don't need to be a US resident to sign up and it can be quite handy for booking or ordering certain things from companies which are US based - we used it for an online Walmart order and Vons grocery delivery for example.
  • Vikki, that's pretty close but still has nowhere for us compers to hang out. They actually do have TopCashBack in the US now, not sure about quidco and they have a lot of options for voucher codes.

I'm inclined to agree with Neilbond007, they're all odd ducks when it comes to saving - they're extremely brand loyal. I married in and everyone felt the need to comment when I bought a different brand of orange juice because it was on offer. They're a Tropicana family, dammit!

They'll also drive further to get the specific brand they like and expect me to if I'm driving. If I'm driving, they get what they're given and like it!

Martin Lewis, please come to the US and sort these people out!!!

This may be true but then maybe there's less need. Brands are less expensive in the US - there've been a few recent threads about people going shopping in the US for the lower prices. Prices for most things are generally lower and there's less acceptance of rip-off's. Haggling is quite common particularly for accomodation - I always haggle in motels/hotels and usually get a discount :)
