Well, I have cut my Grocery budget to the bone this month so am trying to thin out my cupboards.

Cottage Pie (already made), with veg
    Thai chicken curry, with rice
Monterey Beans and Cheese, with rice
Spaghetti and meatballs, with garlic bread
Hungarian Goulash (already made, in freezer), with boiled pots and veg
Fish Pie OR Fish in butter sauce, with mash and veg
    Leftovers/Easy Tea/Freezer
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment

Caterina - when I do menu plan we do tend to stick to it as much as possible. Didnt menu plan this week as was half term and not sure what we would be doing on what day.

Sometimes I leave a blank day once a week and this can be used to juggle everything around.

I tend to stick to the meal plan, but the day I serve them is not set in stone.

Been a month without a proper shop, so, eating the remains of the freezer until tesco's and meat delivery arrive on tuesday.

Fri - Beef curry, raita, naan, rice (bubbling away now)

Sat - Pheasant casserole (Dad "acquired" the pheasants for us yesterday so need to prepare them ourselves.... will be interesting, but up for the challenge, free meat and a few meals worth so, yay) colcannon, veg

Sun - Lamb burgers, raita, sweet potato wedges, salad

Mon - Spag bol.... I think, maybe meatloaf

Tues - fish and spinach bake, roasted tomatoes

Weds - hm pizza, toppings of choice, garlic bread (husb away)

Thurs - freezer leftovers for me, fishfingers and mash for kids (husb away)

    Have a great week
  • I found some taste the difference naan breads reduced to 45p so I bought some basic mozarella and I'm doing naan pizzas with homemade coleslaw. Less than £2 for dinner! :D

What are you having and how much does it cost?

I got some posh line caught Atlantic cod loin original price was £3.99 each or 2 for £6.50. Not that I'd ever have paid that much!!

I bought 2 reduced to 99p each but then I got the discount for buying 2 so I paid 50p. :j

I've covered them in breadcrumbs & grated cheese & I'll cook them in the oven with roast potatoes. I've made a side dish by frying up some onion & chopped mushrooms in olive oil then adding a bit of garlic puree, some sundried tomatoes & pesto. YUMMMMMMMMMY!

    Posh dinner for pennies.

Tomorrow I'm making chicken cacciatore in the slow cooker with a 1.2 kilo pack of welfare standard chicken thighs & drumsticks reduced to £1.99. There'll be enough for tomorrow & loads to freeze. :D

    I LOVE my whoopsies.
