You could try sending a email as quoted @ the top of the page? although I tried to change my name also a wile back with no luck

We only change usernames in special cases when it's a matter of privacy and I'm afraid in your case we wouldn't do it.

If you really feel you want to change it you can set up a new username and simply stop using this one.
