If you have made repayments against the PPI and this has come out of your pocket then you can ask for it back that way, back in your pocket. If there is still some PPI and interest owing on the loan then they can reduce the settlement... thats what I posted about from Which... correct me if I wrong here..
Thanks. I was only expecting to get back what I had actually paid and then for the settlement figure to reduce once then remaining (unpaid and not required) payment protection is removed from the outstanding balance. I just thought it sounded wrong that they were trying not to give back the actually money they had from me. It's a plus that they are refunding (although no admission or reason was given by them).0 -

Yeah, DI and me differ on this one. I have posted so many times about these refunds when there is still a balance on the loan and from the which report is states that if there is a balance on the loan then you are allowed back a cheque for what you have psysically paid out of your own pocket. Then the loan redone without the PPI and whatever was owing on the PPI plus the interest taken off the balance. The loan should then be redone at the same APR and over the same terms.Thanks. I cannot see how they would actually refund you in cash what you have not actually paid out in cash...
Well done at winning....0 -

1st loan I pay £175.99 a month over 60 months. Have got 18 months left on it at APR 17.5%. This was for £6000
2nd loan I pay £114.60 a month over 48 months. Have got 32 months left on it at APR 35.9%. This was for £3000
Hi Tylerlewis
Are those figures the total premium--if so do you have the 2 constituent premiums
a) the main loan advance
b) the PPI mothly premium
Has the interest rate remained fixed throughout?

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.0 -
