I didn't want to believe it and would have defo gone mad if I had checked those numbers on TV the same night.....  , this happened to my nan as well, her hubby (my gramp) he done the numbers and they kept to the same ones every week, unfortunately a few years on he passed away, and nan carried on using the same numbers.
There was a week this was not put on and yep you've guessed it, the whole lot of the numbers came up....... , my nan is no longer here now either, but I still remember her saying bless her "its just not meant to me"....:A

I think this has happened to the best of the population, these things happen, and I now think the same as nan, its not meant to be.;)

Hi guys and gals,

I need some advice from anyone if you can please.

I took out a loan from my bank HSBC in September 2006. The loan was for £3k. I also purchased the PPI for 600 + Interest, so total if completing the agreement would be £805.04. I recently read the article on the website about reclaiming the PPI and feel I have a case for doing so. The only problem is, its my word against the lenders.

My reason for claming will be the following (what I have wrote on the letter):

This is due to the fact that I was not given the correct information when the policy was sold to me, as:
• Your salesperson stated that taking out the policy would assist my credit application.
• Your salesperson was very pushy in selling me the policy so that I felt I could not say no.
• Your salesperson stated that taking out the policy was essential for me to get the associated credit.
My problem with this is, I have paperwork which I signed saying I understood everything and that the sales person explained everything to me.
I was at the naive age of 19, and some will say I am still naive at the age of 22!

I do feel I was pressured into signing the agreement, and opting for cover, and the sales person did actually say that it was very unlikely I'd be accepted for the loan without taking the PPI. These are the only valid points I can make, however, have no actual evidence to support them other than my own word while the bank on the other hand have the paperwork which I signed saying everything was explained to me and I have read the T&C's.

How likely am I to receive any sort of settlement for this?
Is there any point in even trying?

Any help or advice would be great.

Thanks,
Luke.
Luke just try sending the letter and when they get back ask for more help on here. As regards you being naive at 19 then god help us as we were 37 odd...;)
