Going to sign off now Di as really tired. I have the washer man coming tomorrow as my washer broke the other week and they have had to order a part for it. He is coming at 8 in the morning...

Catch you tomorrow and I am now waiting eagerly for my post for the response from Lloyds and I bet it will be "we are not responsible". If this is the case then I will have to let the Ombudsman know as it was them that TOLD ME this is who to make the complaint to and they wrote on my behalf. I wonder if anyone really knows with these unfair rebates... It seems to me they do not.. and yet the FSA and all these claims sites say that if you have been unfairly rebated you can make a complaint. Its ok saying that but to who and for what... . No-one takes responsibility and no-one cares... it may just all be a waste of time me thinks...

What is the Ombudsmans role in this... I don't really understand them.:confused:

I'm just thinking, is there a maximum term you can claim PPI? I'm thinking credit cards?

Hiya Amtrak, if you have been missold as most credit cards are "Banks" they would have been covered under the old Banking Ombudsman Scheme which was around before the new Ombudsman so the 6 year rule sometimes does not apply here. You can state that you only just became aware of this and this is something that the Ombudsman can usually listen to and apply to your complaint. The Ombudsman as we know it consists of ........

The new Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme will bring together The Banking Ombudsman; The Building Societies Ombudsman; The Investment Ombudsman; The Insurance Ombudsman; The PIA Ombudsman Bureau; The Personal Insurance Arbitration Service; The SFA Complaints Bureau and Arbitration Service

  • Hi
Do you think my husband should cancel his PPI on his egg card and any other cards he has or will this effect his claim against them.

If you are complaining about misselling on these then it should not affect the claim at all as this is a monthly payment and really you should have cancelled perhaps when you made the complaint as there are no penalties for doing this.
  • I suppose it is just shows that we really do not need it.
    Thanks

I wouldn't like to comment on your circumstances there but most are sold and you cannot make a claim for whatever reasons but there are some that have been very useful too.
