    Hi folks

Problems with the puter again and the charger is the cause of it.

Marshallka I will have a good read at your posts when I have 5, thanks for posting them.;)

After me complaining about the postie not coming earlier today well the postie did turn up just after lol, anyway, we have been waiting for a letter to come from the insolvency service from London from hubby's compo for when the steelplant closed down just before last Christmas, and a letter did come from the insolvency service in Manchester, it was a letter about a mobile company went into liquidation June this year, me or hubby have nothing to do with these and have never signed a contract to do with mobiles, as we use and have always used pay as you go...... , the letter states about compensation.

There is something wrong here somewhere,
the name of the company that went into liquidation was:
    Mobile Matters (UK) Limited
    Company no: 04787711

It was addressed to us and we have not got a clue, this letter was dated 21 Oct 2008.

Even though we have registed about Twopart/eloan with these actual ones....... , the number is nowhere near the same, don't know what went wrong here.

I will be back later on, need to do a bit of shopping, so just as long as my puter does not play up again I will be back.:D xxx

  • Hi all,

I am just about to put in a claim for the PPI on a Natwest Loan I took out in 2003. However, I have a couple of questions which I am hoping someone can answer.

    1. I have absolutely no paperwork or details on the loan. I obviously know it was Natwest, the branch and the amount (15,000 w/o PPI). Who shall I right to about this (the branch or Natwest HQ) and do I need these details before I "officially" put in a claim on the PPI.

    2. I eventually entered into an IVA in 2006 which was discharged in 2008. The above loan was part of that and so was never fully settled. Do you thnik this will materially affect the PPI claim?

    Thanks for your wisdom guys.....

    Hi All,

Sorry, just relised that I should of posted my question here.

I have been reading on here about claiming my ppi back, I have a few questions to ask.

    1) I finished paying a £10,000 loan at the end of 2006. can I still claim?
    2) I cannot remeber if they told me about ppi or just made me have it as I took the loan out in 2001. Will this matter?
    3) Can I claim on Hire purchase.

    Thanks

    Ben

In answer to point one I would send an SAR to Natwest HQ requesting all the information that they have regarding the loan.
You can claim even after an IVA but I cant guarantee they wont say, you owe us that, but it is worth trying to find that out.

    Hi there.
Regarding IVA's I really do not know about these issues, but I am sure someone will be able to give some useful info here.;)

However, you can request for your agreements free of charge, or they may charge I think a £1 for these.

Will dig out the address details for you shortly, now do you recall on having ppi with your loan?

Do you require a reclaim template for this?

If you check out the above Red Box "Reclaim £1,000's there is some useful info about ppi mis selling and a template to help you reclaim this, add your own reasons of why you feel you were mis sold, they have 8 weeks to respond, post by recorded post.

There is further steps to take if not successful the first time round.;)

Okay edited back in to add the addresses, hopefully someone can confirm which one out of these here:

    Halifax PLC
    Trinity Road
    Halifax
    West Yorkshire
    HX1 2RG

Halifax Phone Number for Statements - 08457 253519

HBOS (Halifax and Bank of Scotland's ivory tower address)
    PO Box 5
    The Mound
    Edinburgh
    EH1 1YZ

    Hi Ben.
    Who was the loan with?
When did you first take this out? (the year)
I think you can reclaim on any credit insurance, if you believe you have reasons to do so such as being mis sold the cover etc.

If you've no agreement or paperwork write or ring them to request a copy where they should provide for you free of charge, if not you pay something like a £1.

If you check out the reasons on the RED BOX above of page "reclaim £1,000's", click on the box then a page will come up where you will note some info on PPI.

There is also a template you can use, but try to keep in your own words, and give your own reasons of why you feel you were mis sold.

They have 8 weeks - post by recorded delivery to keep an eye on the calendar.;)

Let us know your outcome here, in order to go to the next step in case successful first time round, cheers and good luck !:D

  • Hi guys

Hoping this thread is the right place to post this query - if not, sorry!

I'm wondering if I am eligible to reclaim PPI. It's a bit of a complicated story. I took out a personal loan with HSBC in 2004, and took their PPI with it, which was paid as a lump sum at the beginning of the loan (as I've gathered is one of the criteria for reclaiming). In February 2005 my circumstances changed, and I went to HSBC to ask for an extension on the loan. What actually happened was that they gave me a new loan, and paid off the old one with it, so the PPI subsequently was also cancelled and paid off.

I also took out PPI with the new loan, which is due to be repaid in November 2009. However, here's the crunch - I fell ill in November 2005, had a long period off work after which I eventually had to resign altogether. I am still ill now, and the PPI payments are still covering my loan, and are likely to do so for the duration of the loan given that my prognosis is long-term.

I know I cannot claim a refund on the PPI I am currently claiming on. But I'm wondering if I will still be allowed to claim on the previous policy? If I write to them to request a refund, will they look at my account, see I'm now claiming on another policy and immediately reject me? As far as I am aware, the policy was cancelled when I took out my new loan, and paid off in full.

I am not sure where I stand and was wondering if anyone had any advice for me? Thanks so much in advance :)
