  • > hi i have followed the money saving template and written to egg , they have replied courtesly and are looking into my claim/complaint , In the mean time can anyone advise should i cancel the present ppi monthly payment , as it is now very costly and the interest on my egg card credit has gone up quite a lot. My concern is if i cancel the ppi payments now , it may go against me being able to claim a refund or any monies owed to me . The egg card telephone assistant i spoke to recently seemed keen for me to cancel the monthly ppi payments immediately?, which to be honest and even sound cynical made me very suspicious, i would appreciate some advice . Thank you.

seemed to be more about agreements last night

PPI is part of an agreement, a loan is an agreement and the ppi was added to the loan, so I'm confused as to why the agreement talk was a problem:confused:

 and chill what is your ppi claims then?

    Hi all
Just joined today but have been reading this thread with interest for a couple of months!! Sent letter #1 to Northern crock a couple of weeks ago and requested copies of my agreement etc. all I got was the form they send out. I phoned them up and got some details for the form and have posted it back, so I await their response:rolleyes:

i was just wondering if it's worth contacting Egg as well?? I cancelled the payment protection thing (or whatever they call it) before Christmas, got £8k on the card and it was an extra £70+ per month going on to the balance!!!! Is it worth sending the letter in to them to try and reclaim as I've had a similar balance on that card on and off for 6 ish years? I can't remember what process of application I went thru tho?? Will that go against me??

Hi there. just going through posts and noticed yours.

I would definately make a claim against egg. they are the most recent to be fined. I'm sure there is a particular letter template to use if your issuer has been fined.

    Good luck.

    Hi

See my post re figures for Booi666 scenario D) if its a loan you are talking about.

If its a credit card-then there are no financial disadvantages in cancelling immediately if you don't need the PPi cover-as its simply a % of your current credit card balance
    aka Calculator

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.

How were you mis sold? I think your case is a bit different to Boo's as his was single premium and yours is monthly, so if you cancel you immediatly stop paying PPI unlike single premium .
