I have a question?
I just helped my father-in-law claw back some money from Southern Water because he has a 'soak-away' in his back garden. The woman who lived in the home before him was not paying for 'surface water drainage' either.
However, when my father-in-law moved in, Southern Water immediately charged him for 'surface water drainage' on his bill. Don't the water companies keep record of which properties are not liable to pay for surface water drainage?
Is this just a way of them being sneaky?
Really, how many elderly folks in this country have the time to determine if they indeed qualify for 'surface water drainage' discounts?0
