Just got back from tesco having bought a Technika PDVD2005 £64.97 but noticed they had an alternative model PDVD1012 at the same price.
It looked slightly different but i wondered if i have bought the better of the 2 versions? Does anyone know what the differences are?
The staff at Tesco had no idea!
    Thanks

My tesco's have sold out and I desperately needed one!
Anyone know of any online at that price? or maybe someone will be willing to post one to me if I pay the purchase price and postage?

    hmmm long shot?

In case anyone needs to make their PDVD2005 player Region Free, this is how you do it:

    1. Turn on the DVD player. Make sure there is no disk inside, and wait until the 'no disk' message appears on screen.

    2. Next, open the lid using the button on the player.

    3. Using the remote, press ‘up’ ‘down’ ‘up’ ‘down’. You won't see anything appear on screen while you are entering these codes.

    4. Then, press numbers 3,4,9,7,3,4,0. The ‘0’ at the end of this sequence is the setting for "region free".

    5. If you got it right, you should see "region full" appear.

    Enjoy!

Yes you can because they have both AV in and out sockets, so you just need the right wires--Maplins etc. I have done it so I know. That's why you can run a PS2 etc through one. You get the best of both worlds. I tried out several different kinds, and found these to be the best.

    hope this helps.....!

I work in a metro store of tescos, and i haven't seen this available.

Might be making a trip to my larger store...

Does it have to be a tesco extra?

DVD player with 2 screens is available at Aldi (I saw it in the A422 near Wroxton) - £129.99.

*thinks - that isn't that much cheaper than 2 separate DVD players* :p
