I am on wanadoo dial up at the moment and want to change to broadband. I have visited adsl guide and am as confused as ever!
Basically I am looking for reliablilty and good customer support. I dont want to be tied up into a years contract. I would call myself a medium /light user of the internet.
Please help this confused soul with your suggestions.

Then you need to go for a monthly contract.
There are many of them out there at the moment, some good, some bad,and everyone will give you a different view.
I'm currently on F2S,after leaving Britain's favourite ISP,Tiscali.Or is that least favourite??
So far,I've encountered no problems, other than slightly slow speeds at peak times, but nowhere near as bad as Tiscali. But you expect your speed to drop when everyone is on t'internet at the same time.
What I will say about F2S,is that migration is free, you can use your own modem, and I currently pay about £19pm for a 2mb/10g limit.Plenty enough for me.
And if they get slack, then they'll go the same way as Tiscali, but at least I won't have to wait 12 months.

I wouldn't go with F2S if you want good customer support. It takes a long time to get through to anyone on their 0870! number and they take weeks to reply to emails.
Have a look at this site for more info:

Have a look at https://www.efhbroadband.com. Been with them a year and satisfied. Help line and Status line are both 0800 numbers0
