    Yes you do, but small pieces you can get away with just surrounding them with properly dried wood. Keep the door shut though, wet wood has steam explosions...

    Best to get it cut and delivered. Saves hard graft and drying time.

    I love the look of that fire louise, i reckon it would fit into my existing fire surround as well.

    Well if I have any chance of convincing OH to get one then I have to make it seem as mess free as possible so I think that model would just pop in the place of the existing gas fire.
