ooerrr lenny, dubai - dead posh or what....

DD - :grouphug: try not to get too down....

BB - hope it turns up....

everyone else - how the hell are you? My DD1 got extensions woven into her hair (at a ridiculously pricey price mind you) and took them out after a week cos they hurt her head. She is going to glue them into my hair tonight....(she is a hairdresser so she does know what she is doing) - so I might look even more like Carla later! If i can figure it out I will post a pic!

There were loads of people doing that along the seafront in Spain (a mixture of braiding and braided extensions) and the look of pain and boredom on the kids faces who were sat there having it done regretting their initial enthusiasm  ........when I went to Ibiza in 2001 one of the women had it done in our group and she took it all out after a week as it hurt too much.

Hi Lou - I've just emerged from my blanket nest on the sofa and am so cold, running a bath to warm up.

Its so cold here too, I had the heating set to come on at 4pm for 2 hours and then from 7-8.30pm and the house is still freezing.

We use bottled gas as there is no mains gas here and the central heating system is an old back boiler. Living in the middle of the countryside on the top of a hill doesnt help either.

    My nose is cold:o

Have you got a solid fuel stove or something similar?

Nope just 2 gas fires.........that was sensible of the previous owners:rolleyes:

I have to say that we foolishly replaced one with a living flame open fire..........before my MSE days of course. It is so rubbish from an efficiency viewpoint and when it isnt being used the draught that comes from the chimney can take your legs off.

I would love some sort of solid fuel burner put in but OH wont hear of it. Says it will be too messy.

By the way 2 x 47kg bottles of LPG gas costs £80 and we go through 2 a fortnight in the depth of the winter, thats only using the heating on a night and weekends:eek:
