  • Here's your link to tell you about Oystercards....http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/fares-tickets/2005/downloads/tfl-fares-2005.pdf#page=10

(This is a pdf file so you need Acrobat).

    Happy travelling!

You can buy a 1 day travel card from any Tube station and if you go at the weekend under 16's are free.

The London Eye is good at any time of the day. Theres usually a queue so be prepared for that. Also keep an eye on ebay as there are sometimes some good ticket deals on there.

When I took my children on it, aged 7 and 5, the eldest was keen on spotting landmarks. He managed to spot obvious ones himself such as St Pauls and Canary Wharf, and I told him some other ones.

The 5 year old spent most of the trip, lying on his tummy watching the trains go in and out of Waterloo station
Here I go again on my own....

Can I buy a one-day Oystercard, and use it that day for a discount on the London Eye? Or is this discount for long term holders?

I can't seem to see anything about this on the site, but the pdf file is a mile long!

Or does anyone know of any other discounts on The Eye?

    Thanks
    :j
  • I'm not sure if the Oystercard discount is still running

But if you book online you can save 10% I think:

Or make friends with 14 other people in the queue - pay at the "group" rate together for 10% off!!!!!

The london eye offer has finished as it is not on the list on the TFL website anymore:

    Lots more offers though. :)
