This can sometimes be agreed, but only usually where the rental income received at least equals the latest monthly amount demanded by the lender.adarynefoedd wrote: »I read all the responses with interest. I wondered if via Shelter or another mediator if the poster could come to an arrangement with the lender to pay the rent direct into the mortgage account so that at least some of the mortgage interest is paid. Obviously the landlord has a lot of arrears but this solution might at least prevent homelessness and the cost to everybody of court proceedings. Just a thought.
The problem of course could be that even then, there is a chance interest rates go up and so a risk still exists.
It is in neither the interest of the lender nor the borrower to accept the rent if it does not meet the mortgage repayment."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
We wanted to know that because.........?
Communication is a dying art I'm afraid. AD9898 used unnecessarily vulgar language and I wanted him to know that I consider it unacceptable. I could have pm'd him I suppose but I decided to just add a posting to the thread.
If I was a moderator, language like that would be banned and the Internet would be a better place.
While I can still view AD9898's posts if I choose, by adding him to my ignore list I am reminded of what to expect.
