BEWARE of downgrading if you ask for a deal with NTL!

After reading many posts, me and my friend decided to try and get a good deal with NTL. She got a £19.99 for 6 months, and I got £12.50 for 3 months, for both our 2mb connection speeds.

I today did a speed test and found I had infact been downgraded to 1mb!!. Called my friend and asked her to check also with an online test, and she also confirmed she had been downgraded.

I called NTL and they confirmed I am now on 1mb. They are looking into it and will put us back up to 2mb tomorrow (they say). Im concerned though now for others who might have been "downgraded" without even knowing.

Worth checking people.
