    If it matters to you, pay the extra and if necessary fly in business class.

    No I said Bulkhead seats..these are the seats at the front of each section of 4... normally the place for the skycots ..

    remember bulkhead seats are not the same as exit row, and in my experience bulkhead seats do not offer more leg room, just the opposite, they do not have the space underneath to stretch your legs out, this and your dinner tray will be stored in the arm rest making the seat narrower than others.
    At the end of the day, we would all like extra this and extra that for free, and there will be at least half of your fellows pax trying t get something for nothing, so if it really bothers you that much, pay for it.
    The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    I did note your comment with regard to bulkhead bassinet (screamer) seats, however my comment was intended to be taken in a humorous vein. :)

    That said, from what you say, your employer appears to have a specific policy of not putting claustrophobics by the doors? ..... Hopefully as a result of common sense rather than prior experience!!. :)
