Hello all! (Sorry its going to be a long post!!).
I was suprised to find out that E4B are gone bankrupt! I didn't get a call or even a letter! First time I found out is when some agent from Southern Electric was doing the usual sales pitch! I told him im happy with my current price plan with E4B, which is then he said there gone bankrupt!
Okay for the first two months E4B charged me £970 per month on direct debit, which was due to a mistake the E4B customer service agent made over the phone, but it took over four letters and a big telephone bill to sort this out. At the end the direct debit was set to its original price of £290 per month. I was happy with this set up.
I was told by E4B that I will be paid the overpayment amount at the end of the 12 months contract. Im now not sure who shall I contact as E4B are not answering the phone! is there any other person I can contact? £1200 is alot of money to lose especially as my restaurant isnt that busy these days...
Appreiciate your all help.
Thanks.

A very good reason NOT to go into too much credit on Direct Debit. After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0 -
Given the money E4B owe for power they have supplied etc I wouldn't hold your breath on getting the money back. Not good news during these tough times.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

A very good reason NOT to go into too much credit on Direct Debit.
A few years ago Amerado ceased trading. I was a domestic gas customer and had a credit balance.
For a short time it looked as though I would lose this money, but then Powergen took over the customers and honoured the credit balance.
No-one should allow a credit balance to get high in these uncertain times.0 -
I too am really pi**ed off at this E4B debacle.
I am owed £1700..... I know!!! They fobbed me off for months.
I was one of their business customers and earlier this year E4B took out £1700 out of my account stating that I had underpaid for the year. I then provided them with a meter reading which proved that I had overpaid.
They fobbed me off by delaying the refund back to my account and now they are out of business. Does anyone know if I can claim the money owed to me under my banks Direct Debit guarantee scheme??
Any help is much appreciated as I cannot afford to lose this amount of money.0 -
Hi All,
I have 2 phone numbers for the administrators dealing with the liquidation of E4B. Speak to them and it is very highly likely that you would be refunded the money owed to you.
The numbers are 0844 880 2481 or 0844 880 2494
Wish you all the best and hope you all get your money back.0 -
