I agree wired is simple so is the x box adaptor, but 60 squid is a lot of money, setting it up through a pc or laptop is no more complicated though and free if you are already wireless.
let us know if you have it sorted

yes but he may have one of the virgin broadband motorolla modems, and they are just a little different..
  • emmmmm, what does the modem have to do with it ? i thought the router would have the issues if anything as this is dictating ip's ,connections to the modem and to the outside world ?
i am on virgin too no probs with the 3 x box connections i have running all at the same time.

sorry to hijack this thread but I've just bought my son an Exbox for Christmas so it's hidden away but I thought he would be able to use it with a TV/Monitor that he uses for his PS2 at the moment. Have I totally made a booboo and I'm going to have to let him on the computer to play it? It's hard enough getting on it at the moment!!
  • you can play the x box on any tv that has either red, green, blue, connections or the standard red, white yellow, I believe they are the colors. composite and componant inputs. just depends on the quality he wants.

the motorolla modem,, if its setup via USB it doesnt work for some reason when you just plug the ethernet into it,, but it you take out the usb and put the ethernet in and reset the modem it works then. ..
my friend has had the problem before.
  • well come on , did he get it to work and how? will help others if they have the same problem
