Cancelling BT contract due to move

I will have to move abroad and need to cancel my broadband (as well as all other services) contract with BT.

They are asking me to pay for the rest of the contract as if I'm in breach of contract. The way I see it is that I cannot continue my contract with them as BT does not provide service outside the UK.

Does anybody know the answer to this?

Many thanks in advance

    Your reasoning is faulty.

You entered into a minimum term contract for the premises to which the service was to be supplied.

You have decided to move out before the minimum period is up, and must stick to the agreed terms for early termination.
