Guys and girls! many thanks for your help! it's given me a brilliant advice into what to do next. So covergae wise
1. Three
2. T-Mobile
3. Vodafone?No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
johnvixen,
The best and most conclusive way to check 3G coverage in your home and workplace is to ask someone who's already on that network, or get a PAYG SIM, put it in a 3G enabled phone and see the coverage for yourself. The ratings and experiences posted by myself and other MoneySavers might not apply to you; you could sign up with 3, get the 'best 3G coverage in the UK' and still have rubbish signal in your area.
Or you could just buy online and use the distance selling rules to return the phone and cancel the contract if coverage isn't as advertised/expected.0 -

That's interesting, is there some law/consumer protection for bad area coverage and service? No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
Compared even to their 3G network O2's EDGE coverage is even spottier; most of the places I go I can get only GPRS (the slow, slow data network which is barely faster than dial-up) coverage on my old iPhone. I live in Cambridge and can get EDGE only in the city centre. When I'm in London I get EDGE coverage in some places, even central London is not that well covered.
I'd plump for a 3G phone (not necessarily the iPhone) if the price was right; sadly any handset that looks like it would actually last through an 18-month plan costs too much right now.
My thoughts exactly, and its frustrating me. iPhone, Tocco, Omnia, Diamond etc are all £150+ contract unless you pay £50 per month...need to bully O2 into offering a deal for me:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
